Soon after this he was asked to do a ‘One Man Show’ in a group of hotels in South Africa. After touring Swaziland, Basutoland, Northern and Southern Rhodesia and Kenya for over a year, he left for the USA. There he spent three eventful years performing in Boston and New York and later touring in an old school bus with a girl he met at a party in New York, playing gigs right across America and later returning to New York to cut a record. He leased the bus to the record company who then rented it to Charles Manson who was making a record for them.

Needless to say they never saw the bus again! They sailed a small catamaran to Spain and the following year Tony married his inspirational girlfriend and left for the West Indies to run a fleet of sailing boats. When the boats were sold they opened a supper club in an old stone building on a one-acre island where Tony has been doing a One Man Show on piano, guitar and other instruments for the past thirty-five years while his wife Jackie did a splendid job in the kitchen producing a wonderful hot buffet every night, occasionally singing and often suggesting interesting subjects for satirical songs. They also chartered their fifty-foot trimaran as skipper and mate.Tony has two children Jessica and Jeremy and two grandchildren Zebedee and Zolita who with his son in law Ben, are now running the restaurant in the British Virgin Islands. The venue is known by yachtsmen world wide and is called …‘The Last Resort’
